Mia Stonehouse A-level Media NEA Year 2

  How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning and meet the requirements of your chosen brief? (approx. 400 words)     To  target my primary target audience of females aged between 16-25 I  intend  to create  a fashion magazine that is linked with the  environment .   Ensuring I follow the ecofriendly theme I will use a neutral  colour   palatte   including  colours  such as light green and baby pink .  T o contrast the dark images on the front cove r,  the masthead will appear in  yellow,  and a large bold font will be  used  to make  this stand out.  I  will target a middle/ upper-class  audience by using sophisticated fonts and including content that this demographic would engage with.   Tickets to Bali will appear on one of the front covers to be  won; this   encourages  audiences to...

 

  I experimented with different lightning and camera angles and decided finally on over the shoulder shot. This is to focus on the hair as this is the purpose of this photo. I experimented with having the hair in different ways sometimes with a clip and sometimes down to see the full effect of the curls. Some images I wont be able to use as the backdrop can be seen. 

 

  Experiment with different poses allowed me to observe what I wanted to use as my front cover. However I decided against using any of these images as  my magazine style is combining eco and fashion, incorporating nature within the photo would have an additional effect.  

  I took multiple photos to experiment, until getting the final shot. We experimented with different angles and positions as well as camera positioning as in some of the photos you could see the top of the background.  I then cropped the image that I used to only feature waist and above. 

  First draft: Homepage website:   My homepage will feature subheadings at the top, with links leading to  different  parts of the magazine.  Due to being an environmentally conscious magazine its headings will link back to this .    Eco Chic will appear in the middle in fancy font,  targeting   an upper/middle class audience.   This font will be used across the magazines as  well ,  creating cross media synergy and allowing it to be recognizable for the brand.     Social media accounts will appear in the top right corner  allowing audiences to engage with the social media pages  targeting  the younger more active audience who want to engage with the product,  ma ybe  finding  extra content .    A subscribe box will feature top right also, allowing consumers to subscribe to the magazine weekly, allowing them to receive information  regularly  about the magazine .
